Orion Misciagna has been live painting since 2004. Most notably he did the mural at Seattle’s Legendary Sea Monster Lounge. This was the beginning and absolutely set the tone for his further career. He wishes to greatly acknowledge the Nunez Family and all the good people and players he has known through that very special venue. He now paints at concerts on a weekly basis and has performed on stage with globally known musicians and bands. He considers his live work to be painting done through the musician’s artistic process; with all the risk, timing, rhythm and crowd participation inherent in live performance.
He is grateful to have performed with:
Sea Monster Lounge
Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio
Crystal Beth and the Boom Boom Band
Funky 2 Death
Hard Rock Cafe
University of Washington
Rubies in the Dust
Prince Versus Michael Jackson
Odd Otter Brewery
Rusty Raven Studios
The Royal Room

Illustration is distinct from the other artistic disciplines in that it is trying to communicate someone else’s idea or product, and is intended to serve a direct purpose. In fine art I usually stick to one or two media, but in illustration I do much more varied and spontaneous type of mix media work, usually on wood panels. I have contributed to, or fully produced, numerous advertisements, albums, posters, stories and logos.
Please reach out if you think I may be able to help realize your vision!
